The Sky Moves Sideways and I am Upside Down

Awakened by sunlight

My body aches and I am oh so tired…

Today has been but hours of exhaustion

In this helpless silence…

Every thought of joy today subsided

And all I see, fades into distortion…

I know. This is a spontaneous poem, I came up with the words as I wrote ’em. It’s about nothing really (Sorry I didn’t leave you anything personal…). maybe it’s about one of those mornings when you wake up and can’t place yourself. It has happened to me A LOT of times. I’m like “Ah where am I!? Why am I not horizontal!? I feel dizzy…Hey wait…I’m in my bed! Oh… I am still here… in this boring world…damn..” Here’s a painting I’ve done:

Listening to the Song of Planets

Posted in Dreams, Music, Thoughts and rants with tags , , , , , , , , , on January 28, 2010 by Eyeless

Okay, I was supposed to post an article about dreams in the weekend, because:

Saturday morning I woke up in chock. I was overwhelmed! The dream (or dreams) were so powerful, so symbolic and vivid that night, I didn’t know what to make out of it! So I grabbed the closest sheet(s) of paper I could find and wrote my entire dream down. The prime reason why I am not going to write about this dream is because I don’t know what to write about it really… Maybe I’ll post an interpretation of it, but seriously… There are too many details for me to fit in one post. Second, I got so tired of it after having discussed it with several friends and not being able to let it go for three days straight.

Instead I am going to talk a (little) bit about today’s enlightenment, space sounds! Before you interrupt me by saying “Bogus! There is no sound in space cuz it’s just compressed vacuum there and shit!“, I simply answer: I agree. These are not real sounds. They are energy waves recorded by the Voyager satellites and converted into sound waves, audible files, which makes them comprehensible for humans, because we cannot hear these frequencies normally. I don’t remember how I stumbled upon this subject, all of a sudden I found myself listening to eerie space recordings on Youtube! Isn’t it just awesome!?

The recordings were made by NASA satellites Voyager 1 and 2, and the sounds I listened to were from 1992-2002 I think. The satellites are still out there, recording and collecting data in the darkest of places… Anyway, I was so fascinated by this, so I downloaded a couple of really awesome and chilling sound samples plus NASA’s album (oh yes, they have one) Symphonies of the Planets 1-5 from 1992! Each volume consists of a 30 minute song composed by pure, droning recorded space ambience… I’ve got only one word for it -> meditative.

Here, Check it out:

Space sounds are awesome!! *gonna make some music with this*

End of the World?

Posted in Thoughts and rants with tags , , , , , , , , on January 21, 2010 by Eyeless

So, Tuesday, me and some friends were talking on the bus about the end of the world and that stuff about the Mayan calendar.

Why are people so winded up about this subject??

The possibility for the world to end in December 2012 is as big as if the world would end tomorrow 7pm just because some old philosopher said so 5000 years ago (and OMG you know what?? He has never been wrong, so he couldn’t just be making this up to scare people…NOO).

A little piece of fact: The Mayans used several calendars for different cycles, the Tzolk’in, the Haab’ and The Long Count Calendar (probably unnamed by the Mayans). The first ones measured cycles of 52 years and did not enable accurate recording of history, since 52 years are shorter than one human lifetime. Therefore they used the Long Count Calendar instead, that measured over a thousands of years, counting from the Mayan creation date (somewhere around 3114 BC).  After this it gets more and more complex, so instead of trying to explain everything I recommend you read this link. The cataclysm in 2012 is a simple misinterpretation and belongs to some New Age hobo shit. December 21, 2012 is simply the last day of the 13th b’ak’tun (again, read the link). But that is not even the end of the Long Count Calendar because there is still 14th through 20th b’ak’tuns left to come. A nice citation: “for the ancient Maya, it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a whole cycle“. Sounds like a real catastrophe, eh?

Nothing is going to happen when the Mayan calendar ends; not a new age; not the end. Nothing. There is a HUGE lot of calendars in the world, every single one of them has its own cycle. For instance, the old Swedish rune calendar had a cycle of 19 years. Nothing happened when it reached the end… The Mayan calendar is just very old and very complex with a cycle of thousands of years, and is very hard to translate. If you look things up a bit, you will see that there are a few 100% true facts about the Mayan calendar, but most of them are theories. Of course the newspapers only scream about the one least possible theory about the end of the world because it gives them lots and lots of readers. Think about that.

December 21st, at 11:11 am in 2012 I will be eating cake and laugh at all the bastards who are shitting their pants awaiting a theoretical rain of comets. mohah.

Welcome to my new blog!

I am now reborn in the form of Eyeless Entity instead of Greyshades (my previous blog, dead since looong time ago). I have been planning this for a very long time, but my plans of world domination has been taking up a lot of space, mohah. >:)

I am a Swedish chap, quite creative and all that stuff, yeah. I like dark stuff, reading, writing and….yeah…read the “About” page. Hopefully it will give you a vague idea of what I am.

The reason why I am writing this in English and not in Swedish is because, well…

First off, I just feel like it. It’s about bloody time!

Second, I have made some new friends, yay to that! Always yay to the new friends. Problem is, none of them are Swedish. Okay, it’s not a problem, but they just wouldn’t understand what I’m writing (not my fault they are retards <- yes, that is actually a joke fellas).

Third, there is no third! Just two simple reasons.

I will post some writings here, a little bit of art there and, say, why not a movie review or two? 🙂

I will not have as much time for blogging these busy days, so you will unfortunately have to live with 1-2 posts per week. However, I will make it up for you by posting a little pic below 🙂
